What makes you different? what is your style?

I love a documentary style, ‘fly on the wall’ photography experience and nothing overly posed and uncomfortable. Having young kids myself, I understand little humans don’t always love having photos taken, but I’ve found my fun and friendly nature helps put everyone at ease. Photos are lightly edited post shoot, to enhance lighting and the overall vibe of the photo. Personally I love a vintage feel to photos and not your 'traditional' family album, as I am interested in cinematography and love when an image could be a still from a movie. Classic and timeless. Sometimes moody, sometimes bright. But always emotive.

Something that reflects your style! Ideally it should be comfortable and practical for the location. You can be as dressed up or down as you like. Once you secure your booking I offer a Client Guide for some more info on this subject.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT FILM SESSIONS

Film is still going strong & for good reason. It offers instant nostalgia and beautiful grainy tones. Film isn’t perfect (think back to your own family archive) but that’s what makes it so special. Prices cover the cost of film itself as well as developing and scanning which is subject to change given the variable nature of these costs (largely due to a global film shortage).

I use a professional film lab in Melbourne who provide beautiful scans which are then delivered to you via an online gallery. Physical negatives are not provided, but stored safely by me as part of the process.

What if my kids don’t behave?

Perfect! I don’t expect them to. My sessions are relaxed and playful, with lots of space for movement and personality. Some of the best moments come from capturing the beautiful chaos. That being said, I usually spend the first 5-10 mins interacting with your child to build a sense of trust and calm.

It's also important to consider planning your session around nap times/lunch etc so that little ones are not hungry or getting tired.

Newborn sessions are baby-led, we can pause to settle or feed bub as required.

What happens if it rains?

We’ll keep an eye on the forecast and make a call together the day before. If we have an outdoor session scheduled and it is either too windy or too wet, we will reschedule the session to a more enjoyable time and date.

When will we receive our photos? DO YOU PROVIDE PRINTS?

You’ll receive a fully edited online gallery within approx 3-4 weeks of your session. There is a print store attached to your gallery which makes ordering high quality prints on beautiful paper super easy.
